Excursion destination: Innergschlöß

One special highlight in the Hohe Tauern National Park is heading out on a hike to the alpine village of Innergschlöß. From Matrei's Tauernhaus, located directly on the Felbertauernstraße, it is a good hour of walking or in a horse-drawn carriage to the Alpine village of Innergschlöß. Those of you who want to get there a little bit faster could also take a taxi over the 4 km route. On the way you get to experience thundering waterfalls, a majestic view to the glaciers in the Venediger Massif, the place of worship in the Felsenkapelle and the traditional alpine village of Außergschlöß with its old wooden houses directly at the little lake. You eventually get to the Innergschlöß, where in Venedigerhaus Innergschlöß, you get to indulge in some delicious food and drink.
