The SUN Matrei surroundings have a lot to offer. Whether you want to go shopping, eat well, do sports, walk on foot, ski or just to be informed in Matrei, you will find a suitable offer for any interest.
Fans of the Alpine life will find exactly the right place in the National Park Hohe Tauern. With the National Park Rangers you can experience guided tours and wonderful views. You can register directly with us or at the headquarters of the National Park in the centre of Matrei.
Ski fans are in the right place in the Großglockner-Resort Kals Matrei. The lower cableway station is about 500 m from the SUN apartments.
You will find more holiday offers if you look at the entire East Tyrol (Osttirol). Those interested in art will surely visit the castle "Schloss Bruck" in Lienz. The waterfalls Umbalfälle in Prägraten offer impressive and roaring mountain streams, falling down the valley in cascades. In Lienz, you can do shopping, roam the streets, or dash into the valley on the summer or winter with the "Osttirodler" toboggan run. Ask also the East Tyrol card!
