The municipality of Matrei is situated on the Felbertauernstraße road (B 108) and is accessible from Kitzbühl through the Thurn Pass and Felbertauern in 50 minutes. For those who arrive from the south, Matrei is situated only 20 minutes away from Lienz. If you are coming on the Felbertauernstraße road, you can get to the SUN Matrei as follows:
To the SUN classic apartments:
If you are coming from Felbertauern, turn right at the first exit to Matrei - then after about 300 metres go through Rauterplatz and a small bridge towards Lienz - turn left immediately after the school centre - at the end of this short street turn right - just at the Malerei Egger paint shop turn half left to Sonnenhang - then turn right on the next intersection and take the road leading down. Your destination = the SUN Matrei classic apartments is located at the end of the road.
To the SUN design apartments:
If you are coming from Felbertauern, turn right at the second exit to Matrei (those who come from Lienz, take the first exit left) - after approx. 150 m take the first turn right in the direction to the centre - after a supermarket (Billa), on the right side, you can see the brown facade of the SUN design residential house at a distance of approx. 130 m - take the first or second street right behind the supermarket and go to the SUN design residential house - here select your parking space in the underground garage, enter and enjoy your holiday!
